To Philadelphia 2

Currently, I am sitting at my desk, in my classroom, at Hickory Ridge Middle School, in Memphis, Tennessee. Strangely, it seems pretty normal.

I'm flying to Philadelphia at 6:40pm, but that city and my friends and family seem kind of surreal right now. Before I came to Memphis in June, this city was equally surreal in my imagination. Now though, things have turned around. This uneasiness is eerily representative of the feelings captured by the German word 'unheimlich' (thanks Ulrich Schoenherr). Once I get there, I imagine it will be fairly normal and a huge relief to be out of the Mid-South.
